Hello,

I recently heard that some patients get fixated on something black on the floor/ground i.e. pavement, carpeting, etc. and see it as a black hole and are afraid to walk on it. Yesterday this happened to my husband down in the garage of our building. There is a large black mat in front of the entrance and he said “Oh, for a minute I thought this was a big hole”. I’m wondering if this has been experienced by any of your loved ones. I know if it does I will step on it first and tell him it is safe, but at the same time I hope he won’t panic to see me step on it. I know I will have to avoid these areas but coincidentally, we retiled our living room with black granite. We do have large colorful accent rugs placed around the living room and hopefully this will help if he begins to feel afraid.

Just wondering, have any of you had this experience?

Please help.

I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
